Brad McRae (founder) has a BA in Performance and Education from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT. While in college Brad lead Rocky Mountain College’s percussion ensemble, and Psycho Patient’s Percussion. Brad also studied music and dance in Ghana, West Africa. His experiences helped him develop the Afro-Cuban curriculum for Burton Music Camp on Vashon Island, WA.
As the owner/operator of Twindrum Percussion Studios, Brad teaches lessons to more than 60 students. In addition to private teaching, Brad also coaches Jackson High School’s percussion ensemble and regularly holds percussion clinics for public and private school band programs throughout western Washington.
Club goers see Brad perform as the Percussionist for the soul band Soul’d Out and as a regular pit drummer on the Seattle musical theater scene. In addition, Brad is the percussion section leader for the Westminster Chapel Orchestra, and is an accompanist drummer for modern ballet classes at PNB.
When Brad is not in the pit or on the club scene, he is in the studio or subbing-in for other Seattle bands. He is also a sideman for the Sidewinders. When he has free time Brad works on vocalist/percussion duets for Ancora, the performance group he founded with his wife, local performer, Krista McRae.
Tadd Morris is currently the Director of Bands at the Snohomish Freshman Campus. He spends his free time performing around Seattle. Tadd graduated from Gonzaga, earning a degree in Music Education with an emphasis in percussion. He has performed on the Van's Warped Tour with 10 Minutes Down, is a member of The Sidewinders and performs regularly with Dr. D and the Dixie Dogs.
Hailing from Southern Oregon, Ben Engen has been playing drums and percussion for 14 years. He recently graduated from Southern Oregon University with a degree in percussion performance and makes a living working at Guitar Center. He is also currently playing for Alias Real, a Northwest based progressive jam indie group, and Special Meds, a Seattle based soul and funk group. He also does studio work in the Seattle area.
Jared McElwee graduated with a degree in music education from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!) but makes his living working with computers. He plays timpani regularly with the Seattle Philharmonic as well as doing other gigs in the Redmond\Bellevue area.
